"Begonia begoniaceae" -Perennial- partial sun in well drained soil.
In the subtropical regions of South Africa, Begonias can be treated as a perennial, however in the frost regions it is grown and used as an annual because they do succumb to the harsh frosts of winter. They do best in situations with shade or morning sun/afternoon shade. Most varieties have flowers that hang down a little, making tuberous begonias ideal for hanging baskets. A good rule of thumb is to water every two to four days.
